Congrats to the gorgeous America Ferrera, aka Ugly Betty, on her engagement to her long term boyfriend Ryan Piers Williams! The 26-year-old actress first met Williams at the University of Southern California when he cast her in his student film.

On Wednesday, the Ferrera proudly sported her new diamond ring on the red carpet at the Edinburgh Film Festival screening of “The Illusionist in Scotland.”

I was so upset when Ugly Betty was cancelled from the US screens, as the third series was the best yet. Especially with the fashion. Betty was slowly becoming a fashionista in her own right. I had the biggest crush on Daniel Mead.

She looks stunning in the picture taken from the red carpet last night and is almost unrecognisable from her character. A recent rumour was that Ugly Betty was to be made into a film but I'm unsure why this would happen, the series was taken off air because nobody was watching it anymore so to take it to the big screen would be a waste of money.
